“What’s that pn dl?” “He’s probably playing a game.” “I want to play the game too.” “The games are fooling,” the star Mr. said aloud so I could hear her. They sat against me in the subway. Then she went to her grandson and said, “It’s much better to have a boy.” I wanted to exclaim that it was an injustice and valuable literature.
But even that would not be true. I just watched a drawing jokes from the latest New Yorker magazine in my Kindle e-newsletter.
Amazon introduced the new Kindle in a burrow this year, which it bought about a month later. Until the Czech Republic or the days of other countries, Amazon does not grow, so far it is intended only for the American market.
I have it for reasons. Connected to the Internet is provided by a 3G module, not Wi-Fi. Amazon has a contract with a mobile operator that provides Kindle owners with an Internet connection (called Whispernet). Through it, you can buy and download books and newspapers, or even restrict your surfing on the web. Ovem outside the US this functionality pad.
This does not mean that a user outside of America would be unlucky. They can buy a Kindle and use it, but with some restrictions.
How to buy it?
You have a website, even a Czech payment card. But you have to have the Kindle delivered to an American address (in mm, it was to the hotel where the wife lived). Another option is to obtain a service that transferred this type of goods from America to the Czech Republic (for example, Shipito). I don’t know exactly how legal it is, but many people bought laptops or cameras in the days of cheap dollars (where are those times?). Most of them did not escape customs clearance.
D if Kindle mimo USA pouvat?
But yes. The package includes a USB cable (and charger) that allows you to connect your Kindle to your computer. It then behaves like a flash drive or external memory. You can buy electronic books, newspapers and magazines on the Amazon website. Please note that, unlike Kindle itself, you cannot pay with a Czech (or generally non-US) payment card. Natst is a way around it.
Buy a gift certificate, which will add the necessary cash to your profile. Tm books can also be purchased for Kindle. The only restrictions are magazines and newspapers: they can be bought in pieces, but not ordered by subscription. You really need an American card for that.
You can download the ordered and paid book to your computer and then use it via USB to Kindle. The files have copyright protection, so they can only be opened in Kindle, which you bought and registered on your Amazon here. Purchased titles can be found on the Amazon website (Kindle Store / Manage Your Kindle), they can also be downloaded in the future.
Outside the US waste updates via the web, you always have a handcuffs sweat and a USB cable. Waste and the ability to use Wikipedia and limited search on the web. Only pre-installed English deposit slovnk can be used.
How’s Kindle?
Vten. Kindle as well as other electronic devices (the biggest competitor is Sony Reader) use E-Ink technology. The display has a diagonal of fifteen centimeters, black and white, with four shades of edi. Not backlit, what is not a mismatch, but not the other way around. That it wasn’t oi and Kindle can be used outdoors, in the sunlight.
The Kindle is pleasant to the hand, less than a dozen decagrams, it is only nine millimeters thin. Stable, even a hunter does not stress the possibility that he could hurt him with some careless loading. Control is intuitive. There are two buttons on the left and right buttons, after they are softened, the page is put on. The front page can be drilled with the button at the top left, symmetrically there is a button “home” on the other side. This will take the user to the main menu.
At the bottom of the display is the local Qwerty keyboard. The American user uses the keyboard, for example, when surfing the Internet. Non-US users have much less complexity, one of which is, for example, searchable in saved documents. You have to pst and make notes.
Is there anything on Kindle?
If you’re aunt in English, sure. Today, there are about 250,000 titles of books on Amazon. It is somewhat misleading, as some books are available in several versions. And upmn eeno, fajnmeki maj zatm smlu. In general, all current bestsellers and mainstream books published in recent years are available. But if you’re looking, for example, for John Irving’s specific roma (who isn’t in the press in America), you’re probably out of luck.
The problem is that it’s still expensive. Not only the Kindle itself (I’ll get to that), but also the individual titles. Plus minus the salary, one book costs about ten dollars. Amazon claims that it is ten and fifteen dollars higher than the paper title. This only applies to hardcover issues.
Electronic books cost piblin just like paperbacks, which I don’t think fr. In this case, the kiln publisher accounts for mari booksellers and for production costs, paying only mari Amazonas. I don’t have it in any way, but for the “fro” price I would consider an amount somewhere between three and five dollars. And similarly, two of them gave to potential customers.
Doesn’t the publisher use it to get them? At that mm clear – I think he protects his lucrative “pepper” business.
It is more suitable for young people in newspapers and magazines, ie in the market, which today is really good for shoes. Twenty-eight e-newspapers today. trnct americkch (including New York Times, USA Today and Washington Post), two nmeck (Frankfurter Allgemeine and Handlesblatt), two English (The Times). Irish, Italian, Spanish, French and German (English).
You can buy a single print of newspapers for about fifty-seven cents, which is significantly smaller, you would not pay anywhere in Europe at the newsagent’s (and moreover probably with a one-day subscription). That’s the salary for the magazine. There are about ten of them in all Amazon’s virtual rules (all American). For example, one news from Newsweek can be bought for half a dollar (pay 115 K in a newsagent’s), one money for a New Yorker for a dollar fifty (less than hundreds in a newsagent’s). You can also order and download the content of one of about 300 blogs. But I don’t think many people use this opportunity. Blogs somehow pat the one on the pot.
The knives for the Kindle are in a special .azw format. The Kindle can also accommodate other formats, including basic text (.doc and .txt) and horse images (.jpg and .bmp). This allows web formats .html and documents in .pdf, even if they do not always display correctly. In America, documents can be sent to Kindle by e-mail (Amazon charges ten cents for each file sent), for non-American users the only option is to upload the file via a USB cable. But at least it’s free.
How much will fit on a Kindle?
A lot, probably a lot of books, not an overwhelming majority of people care for life. Internal memory capacity of 2 GB, for books and other documents is free about 1.5 GB. According to Amazon, that’s about 1,500 books. Kindle postrd SD card slot, also pad monost rozen memory. But if the user will really only use it for documents with texts, it probably shouldn’t matter.
The display does not touch, in the text the bag can be moved quite easily with the cursor. This way you can mark a word (its wording is automatically found in the English wording) or the whole passport. You can add your own note, which is saved in a special document. This is especially true in the case of professional books or textbooks, but the old-fashioned underlining and slight remarks on the margins can not replace it.
How long does the Kindle charge?
tyi and pt dn if you st a few hours a day. Otherwise and two weeks. Consumption is you when the 3G module cannot find the signal – that is, among other things, always outside America. Then the Kindle lasted only one and two days. But this can be easily avoided if you deactivate the module (Menu button, item “Turn Wireless Off”).
The manufacturer states that the capacity of the battery after 500 charged sticks is equal to about 80 percent of the capacity. This means that most people do without replacing the battery. But even that is mon, but only in America. Cost $ 60.
Why buy a Kindle?
It’s great vc. Especially for travel. it is nice, it feels like the one made of paper. The device is always in hand, the “letter” is comfortable. Kindle in front of the book for where you want to get on the plane or train. It is also a good choice for a holiday, where the hunter otherwise takes a lot of paperbacks, in addition to the risk that some of them will not enjoy it. You can “stack” in Kindle in many ways, and moreover, it doesn’t take up almost a city in a suitcase.
m can’t match the book?
This is a simple question to which the answer is difficult. You don’t feel the same way you can hold a book in your hand at Kindle. The paper book is a real object with which you go through something, touch it yourself and connect specific memories with it. Every paper stick is hunted differently, you have grains of sand from your skin or a stain of coffee that you once made yourself with the old books. The Kindle, on the other hand, is still the same book that can be used for romance, mathematical scripts or comics.
Probably related to the darkness is the lack of orientation, which I feel like the text on Kindle. The books don’t have a page, instead there is a river below showing the percentage of the text (similar to the one in the video). It’s not entirely up to the code, because the book always “opens” where you left off – but I still have a bunch of errors. This is also a problem at the moment when you want to get back to some way. You can usually find it intuitively with paper books because you can visually remember where the book was in the book. This doesn’t work on Kindle.
But these are mainly just a hunter who loved peppercorns for almost thirty years and who got used to them. It probably won’t be such a big problem to get used to books electronically. And the new generation will take it as something completely natural – and they will have a similar problem when they pick up a paper book.
So why is the Kindle going the far way to the ideal “carrying” of e-books?
Because driving is really irregular. Undoubtedly, there will be a technological improvement: a color display, even a little more, or in some way “breakable” – so that the Kindle can really be carried in your pocket. It doesn’t work today, or the pocket has to be very big.
Amerit reviewers “ask” better web. That day only allows basic surfing, flash does not work, you can’t download videos. Personally, I think it doesn’t matter, on the contrary, I would leave it at that – watching videos is nenron, easy to get rid of. And that is a lot of competition for the one to whom you are focused and attention.
Skeptically, the two also have the function of converting the text to e. Books can not only be heard, but so listen. The current voice is a bag of pots and unnatural, it’s really annoying not useful. And the same function caused a great deal of fuss, probably because it violates the copyright first (so-called audiobooks have a special copyright, for which the writer received a fee). The function can only be used for books where the publisher has allowed it himself. Personally, I don’t mind, because I wouldn’t use it.
Barira is the price, it is still very high. There are prices for so-called netbooks or mini-notebooks, on which you can stand (by far, of course, not so comfortable), and at the same time they are full-fledged girls. I think that in the future, teek prices should reach some hundred dollars. Then you will be taken to the outside. Even though they aren’t just curiosities for you either: Amazon has sold a million, Sony about 350 thousand.
But it will happen, I’m convinced of that. Probably my idea will not go to the Kindle 3, it will not be a Kindle 10. You will not be a Kindle at all, last week I said that Rupert Murdoch will invest in a similar device. Murdoch has been a good copper barometer for the past twenty years: in 1995 he ordered the march of paper newspapers on the web, and ten years later he spent 580 million millions on MySpace for many nonsensical.
Mon my generation will never get used to e-books and the papers will leave with them. But if that happens two or later, he is sure.
